A 15-year-old Jersey City boy was arrested and sent to the Hudson County Youth House on multiple weapons charges after officers responded to a reports of shots being fired in Greenville late Friday, officials said yesterday.
Officers responding to numerous reports of shots being fired from an SUV on Rutgers Avenue at 11:41 p.m. found a stolen SUV on the sidewalk with the motor running, reports said.
Police got a description of a person seen running from the vehicle and later arrested the boy, charging him with weapons offenses, including possession of a firearm by a minor, reports said.
The boy?s guardian was notified and he was processed before being sent to the Youth House in Secaucus, reports said. It does not appear that anyone was hit by the gunfire, based on the police report.
