Jarette J. Vance, 27, of Grant Avenue, was arrested at the Palisade Avenue hospital and also charged with resisting arrest and bail jumping, reports said. Officers responded to Dales Avenue at 1:13 a.m. on a report of a man armed with a handgun and knife. They didn?t find the man, but learned Vance had just arrived at the hospital, reports said. At Christ Hospital, Vance gave police basic information on the stabbing but was uncooperative and said ?Where were you when I was being stabbed? Ya?ll ain?t (blank),? reports said. Vance was yelling and screaming, and at one point he threw a cup of water and pushed a table into a knee of one of the officers, reports said. That?s when the officers told Vance he was under arrest. But he resisted and had to be subdued, reports said.
