View Larger Map Man victim of brick assault A 44-year-old West Orange man was beaten unconscious with a brick in Jersey City early yesterday morning, police reports said. Police called to Virginia Avenue at 1:37 a.m. found the unconscious man bleeding from the head and face and lying in the street between Martin Luther King Drive and Ocean Avenue, reports said. Next to the man was a blood splattered brick, which appeared to have been used in the assault, police said. The trauma patient was taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition yesterday, a hospital spokesman said.
