No injuries were reported. A woman was sitting on the porch of an apartment building on Grant Avenue when the neighbor walked outside and asked her if she knew who owned the car across the street, which was blasting music, according to the report. The woman responded that it was her son?s car, and said she would turn the music down, according to the report. The neighbor went back inside. He returned minutes later, at 9:03 p.m., when the music did not soften, the report said. The owner of the car, a 33-year-old Jersey City resident, was present and asked to talk to the neighbor, the report said. Police did not release the name of the car?s owner. The neighbor went to speak with the man, who then took out a black handgun and fired one round in his direction, according to the police report. Two police officers were in the area, and reported to the scene as soon as they heard gunshots, the report said. The suspect fled the area. The case is still under investigation.
