View Larger Map Cyclist shoots at empty truck Monday, March 21, 2011 KEN THORBOURNE JOURNAL STAFF WRITER A male suspect wearing a gray hoodie and jeans got off a bike and then shot up a Toyota pickup truck in Jersey City Saturday morning, according to police reports. Witnesses told police that about 11:30 a.m., they saw the suspect get off the purple bicycle he was riding and walk over to the 2011 T-150 black truck, which was parked on Union Street near Sackett Street, reports said. The suspect then opened fire on the vehicle and fled the area on foot, according to reports. The rear windshield of the vehicle was shot out and police found bullet holes on the driver's side front and rear doors, reports said, noting four .45-caliber shell casings were found near the truck. No one was inside the truck at the time of the shooting and no injuries were reported, police said. Anyone with information about this incident should call (201) 547-JAIL.
