View Larger Map Jersey City man knocked to ground by teenager, who grabs cell phone and flees Wednesday, October 27, 2010 A Jersey City man was knocked to the ground and his cell phone was stolen during a mugging Monday night, police reports said. Police were called at around 7:42 p.m. to a firehouse on Bergen Avenue, where a 26-year-old Fairmount Avenue man was being treated for a head wound, reports said. The injured man told cops that he was on his way home when a teenage boy stole his cell phone at Fairmount Avenue and Boland Street reports said. The victim said the boy - who appeared to be about 15 years old - approached him and said "Wanna fight with me?" before punching him twice and knocking him to the ground, reports said. The suspect then stole the man's cell phone from his pocket and fled the scene, police said. CHARLES HACK
