View Larger Map Jersey City man is stabbed three times on street, but too drunk to give cops more information, police say Friday, July 09, 2010 A Jersey City man was stabbed three times early yesterday morning but was too intoxicated to tell police much about what happened, officials said. At 1:24 a.m., officers responding to Emory Street and Bergen Avenue found the 26-year-old Oak Street man being treated by emergency medical technicians who then transported him to the Jersey City Medical Center. The officers could not find any witnesses, reports said. At the hospital, cops were able to speak to the victim, who told them he was standing at Bergen and Gifford avenues when he was attacked, reports said. But the officers said it appeared he was "under the influence of an intoxicating substance and he was unable to give any further information at this time," reports said. Emergency room doctors said he was stabbed in the left armpit, lower left back and left buttocks, reports said, adding that the wounds did not appear life-threatening. MICHAELANGELO CONTE
