Not immediately. The next stop will be at 5th Street in Bayonne. The next planned major extension will take the light rail from North Bergen along the Northern Branch railroad in Bergen County, which would go through Ridgefield, Fairview, Palisades Park, Leonia, Englewood and Tenafly.
There has been some talk of extending the West Side Avenue line to stop closer to NJCU and to go across Rte 440 to reach Society Hill. And also some talk of then crossing the Hackensack river to reach Kearny and potentially go as far as Newark airport. But there is no commitment from NJ Transit on those, and no source of funding. There has also been talk about light rail over the 6th St. Embankment and through the Bergen Arches, potentially out to the Meadowlands. That was suggested by Mayor Healy, but NJT has not expressed any interest in it.

Are there any plans to make new stops else where in JC?

I hear the Virginia/Ege/Kearney Avenues section around the Dr. King Drive station is not too good these days and I'm not sure how the area around the West Side Avenue Terminal is.
How is it around Danforth Avenue, Richard Street and Jersey Avenue stations?
