Called to a Warner Avenue residence at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jersey City police found a man bleeding from a gunshot wound to his inner left thigh, reports said.
The man said he was sitting on his stoop when he decided to go to the grocery store at Warner and Martin Luther King Drive, reports said.
On his way, he heard gunshots and started running, but then felt a sharp pain in his leg and when he looked down saw blood, reports said.
The victim, who didn't see the shooter, was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center.
