Four Jersey City residents were caught in a stolen car after they drove through a red light today.
Police ran the license plates on the 1987 BMW after the 17-year-old driver ran a red light at the intersection of John F. Kennedy Blvd. and Clendenny Ave. at 2:05 a.m.
The vehicle, registered in New York, was reported stolen yesterday to Bayonne Police. Jersey City Police followed the vehicle south on John F. Kennedy Blvd. to Orient Avenue and onto Bergen Avenue where it stopped the car when backup arrived.
The driver, a 16-year old passenger, Janine Jenkins, 18 of Myrtle Ave., and Sean Williams, 20 of Carteret Ave., were all charged with receiving stolen property.
