A Jersey City man was robbed and beaten Tuesday night in his apartment building on Fairmount Avenue, according to police reports
Police arrived on the scene at 10 p.m. to find the victim, Serafin Carrera, 48, on the floor of the building's first-floor hallway.
Carrera told police that upon arriving home about 9:30 p.m., two men followed him in and began punching him in the head until he fell and they then stole his wallet, which contained $200 cash.
Carrera said that one of the suspects lived at a different building on Fairmount Avenue, but police were unable to locate the suspect at the address.
