I'm confused. Was the cart stationary, or was the stationery stationary?

Tried to sell stolen meat, police say

Tuesday, July 14, 2009

Cops arrested a Jersey City man who was trying to sell stolen frozen meat from a shopping cart Sunday morning, police reports said.

Police arrested Thurman Thomas, 46, of Neptune Avenue. Plainclothes cops saw Thomas on Martin Luther King Drive at 9:25 a.m., and in the cart police found six boneless legs of pork, smoked turkey ham, beef patties, and several bags of chicken, reports said.

Also in the cart was stationary, including pens, crayons and rulers, and toy cars, reports said.

The man said he found the cart with the meat near Winfield Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard and decided to sell it, reports said. The man also had a crack pipe, reports said.
