Gunman nabbed by Jersey City police

A 20-year-old Jersey City man was arrested after robbing a 53-year-old resident at gunpoint early Sunday morning, police reports said.

Terrence Pinkney, of Wilkinson Avenue, was charged with robbery and weapons possessions, reports said.

Police were called to a robbery at Wilkinson Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive where the victim told them he was sitting in a parked car when Pinkney walked up to the driver-side door, pointed a gun, and ordered him to let him in the car, reports said.

Pinkney climbed into the passenger seat behind the driver, demanded his money, and fled with $45, police said.

Cops searched the area and spotted Pinkney at 4:39 a.m. on Wilkinson Avenue, where the victim was able to identify him, reports said.
