A Queens man who came to Jersey City to help his nephew move was the victim of a carjacking early yesterday morning, according to police reports.
The 40-year-old man was helping move some items out of his nephew's Oxford Avenue apartment at 12:40 a.m. when a silver car pulled up and a tall man with shoulder-length braids got out and pointed a black handgun at them, police said.
The victim, speaking through a Chinese translator, told police the carjacker demanded the keys to his 2006 Infiniti G35 and drove east toward Bergen Avenue.
A laptop valued at $600 and a purse were in the car when it was stolen, reports said.
