Police arrested a Jersey City man after he tried to slash a victim with a knife, then tried to run him over with his car, reports said.
Eakia Rollins, 32, of Essex Street, was arrested after an incident at York Street and Washington Boulevard early yesterday when Rollins and another man brushed past each other outside a tavern.
The other man later told cops he tried to walk away, but said Rollins pursued him, but the man ignored him and Rollins left in a silver car, reports said.
Rollins returned later and swung a knife at him but he jumped back and missed, the man told police.
He said Rollins then got back into the car and tried to run him over, but again the man jumped out of the way.
Cops later pulled over Rollins's car and arrested him. They also said they found drugs in the car, but did not provide further information.
