This should carry the exact same penalty as an armed kidnapping. Hope these pieces of trash do life -- unfortunately they'll probably be back on the street in under 10 years.

Jersey City cops recover teen's puppy stolen by two men at gunpoint By Charles Hack/The Jersey Journal on January 21, 2013 at 10:40 AM, updated January 21, 2013 19-year-old Jersey City man was reunited with his pit bull puppy after two men stole it at gunpoint Saturday afternoon, police reports said. Two suspects identified by police as Rashaad Ling, 27, and Michael Smith, 23, both of Orient Avenue, were arrested and charged with robbery, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and unlawful possession of a weapon, reports said.
