JERSEY CITY ? A Jersey City man who police said was highly intoxicated tried to discard 18 bags of crack cocaine when officers were bringing him to an ambulance yesterday morning, police said.

Christopher Pellot, 22, of Thorne Street, was charged with drug possession, intent to distribute and intent to distribute drugs near school property and within 500 feet of public property, a police report said.

Police were called to Bowers Street near Ogden Avenue in the Heights at 12:55 a.m. on a report of an intoxicated naked man in Riverview-Fisk Park, a report said. Police found four intoxicated men there and called an ambulance for Pellot and another man.

Pellot, who police said had urinated in his pants, became hostile after he was patted down for possible weapons and tossed a bag that contained 18 packets of crack cocaine, the police report said.
