The city of Pittsburgh was once described as "hell with the lid off". Sounds like Jersey City might have dibs on that title nowadays.

A Jersey City man observed walking around with his hands tied behind his back and bleeding from the head told police that gunmen assaulted him and searched his home Wednesday, officials said yesterday.
After police responded to the 20-year-old?s Magnolia Avenue apartment following the 2:49 p.m. incident, the victim walked out wearing only pajama bottoms and covered in blood, reports said, adding that he was uncooperative. Later, at the hospital, he told police three gunmen pushed him into his apartment, made him lay down on the living room floor and said to him ?We gonna shoot you if you don?t give us what we want,? according to police reports. Two of the men dragged him into the kitchen and began kicking him in the head and body while the third gunman stood near the front door, reports said. The two men then dragged him into another room and while one of them searched a closet, the victim managed to get up and wrestle the gun away from the other man, reports said. That?s when the man searching the closet struck the victim from behind and all three men beat and pistol-whipped him before tying him up and fleeing, reports said. The victim said he didn?t know if anything was taken, reports said. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Jersey City police tip line at (201) 547-JAIL http://www.nj.com/jjournal-news/index ... y_police_say_bloodie.html
