Two men forced a Jersey City gas attendant into a sports utility vehicle at gunpoint Saturday evening before robbing him and releasing him two blocks away, police reports said. Called to the Getty Gas Station at 39 Central Ave. near Route 139 at 6:17 p.m., a 23-year-old Jersey City man told police he had been kidnapped and robbed, reports said. The victim said two men, posing as customers, pulled into the station in an older model black SUV with no license plates and brown tape over a rear break light, reports said. One of the men, who wore a black ski cap, used the service station?s restroom and when he returned to the SUV, pulled out a black handgun and demanded the victim get into the vehicle, reports said. While being driven two blocks north to Hopkins Avenue, the kidnappers ordered the victim to hand over his wallet, cellphone and the cash he had in his pocket, which was $200, reports said.
