View Larger Map Jersey City woman foils sexual assault on Greenville street in early evening, police say Published: Saturday, September 24, 2011, 3:00 AM By Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal Jersey City police are looking for a man who attempted to sexually assault a woman on a Greenville street Thursday night as she walked home from a Hudson-Bergen Light Rail stop, officials said. Officers responding to Randolph and Bramhall avenues at about 7:30 p.m. found the 20-year-old woman with her boyfriend and she was visibly upset and crying, reports said. She said she was on Randolph Avenue when a man grabbed her and then began pushing her, but she managed to break free and ran away with the man chasing her, reports said. Police broadcast a description of the man and officers flooded into the area, but the search bore no fruit, reports said. The woman was "extremely upset? and could not provide additional information at that time, reports said.
