Jersey City teen shot, in 'extremely critical condition'

A 19-year-old Jersey City man was left in "extremely critical condition" after he was shot in his hip and buttocks early Saturday morning in the Greenville section of the city, reports said.

A man called police at 3:51 a.m. to say that the victim appeared to be shot near Fulton and Ocean avenues, reports said.

Police arrived to find the good Samaritan carrying the wounded man on Fulton Avenue toward Ocean, reports said.

The wounded man, who was incoherent, was taken to an area hospital where he was operated on for "life-threatening" wounds, reports said.

The patient's condition could not be updated yesterday.
