A package left on the loading dock at a Downtown Jersey City hotel caused police to close a few blocks of Washington Boulevard for three hours and also halted light rail service for 20 minutes yesterday afternoon.
Police closed Washington Boulevard near the Westin Hotel on Sixth Street and examined a suitcase, that was deemed safe. The street, closed at about 11:30 a.m. was reopened at about 2:15 p.m.
