Police recovered a stolen taxi yesterday morning after a man threatened the life of the driver before making off with the vehicle, reports said.
The victim, a 60-year-old Jersey City man, was parked on Kennedy Boulevard in the area of Jewett Avenue in a Ford Crown Victoria at around 3:15 a.m., waiting for a driver for a shift change, reports said.
The carjacker, who had black scarves wrapped around his face and right hand, opened the driver's side door and told the 60-year-old man, "Get out or I'm going to kill you," police said.
The man then fled south on Kennedy Boulevard in the vehicle, which was later found running and unoccupied at Wallis and Logan avenues.
