View Larger Map Construction company fined for lacking permit after welding sparks ignite trash in Downtown Jersey City Tuesday, April 13, 2010 A New York construction company was cited for performing a welding job without a permit after sparks from repairs to a fire escape ignited trash between two Downtown Jersey City buildings yesterday afternoon, officials said. Firefighters responded to the blaze between the two buildings at Montgomery Street and Washington Boulevard at 12:57 p.m. and found rubbish on fire as a result of the sparks caused by the workers from Addon Construction of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., Fire Department Director Armando Roman said.
