A 23-year-old Jersey City man was shot in the arm and shoulder early Sunday morning, police reports said.
Police on patrol on Bergen Avenue at 12:59 a.m. Sunday heard two shots and saw two men running west on Lexington Avenue toward Kennedy Boulevard, police said.
While the officers were searching for the suspects, a wounded man flagged down other cops at Bramhall Avenue near Bergen Avenue, police said. The victim had two gunshot wounds, one in the left arm and another in the back of his left shoulder, reports said.
The victim was treated at Jersey City Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Police were unable to find the suspects but found a 9mm handgun on Lexington Avenue between Kennedy Boulevard and Bergen Avenue.
