Say Heights man hit female cop

A 40-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly pushed and punched a female cop in Jersey City, reports said.

Responding to reports of a man annoying women shopping in the Heights Plaza, cops spotted Jerezano and asked him to leave the area, but he refused and shoved the female police officer, reports said.

Jerezano then punched the officer in her right shoulder and ran south on Summit Avenue before the other officer could get to him, reports said. Police caught up with Jerezano at Secaucus Road and Kennedy Boulevard and arrested him, reports said.
