A 22-year-old Claremont Avenue man was shot in the leg early Friday morning in a drive-by shooting, according to Jersey City police reports.
Police were called at 2:36 a.m. to the corner of Martin Luther King Drive and Wade Avenue, where they found the man bleeding from his left leg, reports said.
The man had difficulty understanding emergency responders and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, police said.
Police eventually learned the man had been walking south on Old Bergen Road near Triangle Park when a black vehicle with tinted windows drove by and someone inside the vehicle fired three shots, reports said.
The victim was taken to Jersey City Medical Center.
