A bullet ripped through the bedroom window of a Jersey City house Sunday night, frightening the resident so much she was unable to speak to police.
At about 9:15 p.m., police responded to the Greenville house at Cator and Rutgers avenues. But the 44-year-old woman who lives there was too shook up to talk, reports said.
The landlord showed cops where the bullet had shattered both panes of her window and damaged the blinds, reports said. Police recovered a bullet in the bedroom, reports said.
A search revealed there was also a bullet hole in the vinyl siding above the front door of the building and a bullet hole through the windshield of a vehicle parked there, reports said.
Police also found two spent shells on Rutgers Avenue.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Jersey City Police Department tip line at (201) 547-JAIL.
