A Jersey City man tied up in his Lembeck Avenue house - possibly for as long as three days - gained his freedom last night after a neighbor found him bound, police said.
The man, who is in his 50s, was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center for observation and was possibly suffering from dehydration, said city spokesman Stan H. Eason.
"Police are hoping to question him (the man) about his unusual ordeal," Eason said. "The circumstances have not been determined, but it is a very active investigation."
The man was discovered at around 6:30 p.m. by the neighbor, who notified police.
"We thought he (the man) was generally in good condition," Eason said.
