A Jersey City man was robbed of $600 on a Greenville street Monday morning, only minutes after he withdrew the money from an ATM in a supermarket on Martin Luther King Drive, officials said.
Officers responded to Virginia and Ocean avenues at 9:05 a.m. and the 44-year-old victim told them he'd just withdrawn the money at the Extra Supermarket. He told the officers he walked down Virginia and just before getting to Ocean, two men approached and one put a revolver to his head, reports said.
The armed man said, "You know wassup. Give it to me," and the victim handed over the $600, reports said. The robbers ran east on Virginia toward King Drive, reports said.
