A Jersey City man found with a stolen lottery check ran out of luck Saturday when he allegedly knocked off a Chinese food delivery man, reports said.
Craig Lamont Howard, 29, of Rutgers Avenue, grabbed $7 from the delivery man on the 600 block of Bergen Avenue at 5:42 p.m. and ripped a piece of a menu in the process, reports said.
When police on patrol spotted the distressed victim, they arrested Howard on Reed Street and recovered the $7, reports said.
Howard was also found with a stolen New Jersey Lottery check for $2,495.50 made out to a Jersey City woman who reported the theft from her mailbox two weeks ago, police said.
He was charged with the robbery of the delivery man and theft of property lost/misplaced against the woman, according to the report.
