I thought the shooting was targeting the drug dealers too. That corner is probably one of the most notorious drug corners in Jersey City. They even have there own gang on that corner called Lex Mob that has been operating for over a decade.

Here is some of the other times they made the news.

I heard there was a few witness & the police said the vehicle they used came back to a Roselle address.
Im my opinion Id think these guys were trying to clean up that drug corner at Bergen & Lexington. All day everyday its full of drug dealers & at night they are out rolling dice with cash all over the ground.

Two gunmen send bullets into Greenville store, facade
Friday, February 13, 2009

A man armed with a shotgun and another with a handgun shot up a Greenville store and building Wednesday afternoon, Jersey City police officials said.

Responding to a call of shots being fired at 3:23 p.m., officers found four spent shells from a semiautomatic handgun and one spent shotgun shell at Oxford and Bergen avenues, police said.

Walking west on Oxford, the men opened fire when they reached Bergen, leaving two bullet holes in the windows of a liquor store and one in a building's facade, police said.

No arrests have been made and no motive for the gunfire has been established, police said.

I kept the story the same but this area isnt Greenville it is Bergen Lafayette, and there is no store on that corner so I am guessing they mean the store on Bergen and Lexington one block over.
