Re: Jersey City election 2013: Healy calls foul on Fulop mail-in ballot applications

Very simple,if I go to your door and you want to vote by mail you would fill out the app. and I would take it to the county.
If I am smart I would make a copy and get both of them time stamped so I have proof you made the application.
Fulop mailed to whomever and had them send the Application back to him so he could do the above.
Had he just let them mail direct to the county who knows where they would wind up.
The county Clerk is a friend of Healy's and is even on his elect as having donated money.
Healy people are just Flailing at anything that moves.

Just a reminder that as we look at the Dwek Ads and the phoney press releases from Healy about law suits against Fulop. The Robo calls of Lies and the destruction of Fulop signs downtown that Dan is still trying to run his campaign like an independent but using the Healy Machine to push him Forward.
Why no Levin/Healy Lit.or signs? Why not speak out about the Vandalisim of Fulop signs.

The trial has already started,Discovery was done by the FBI,
and in 14 days the jury will come back with a verdict.
Fulop will beat healy in a landslide.

That's funny since up in the heights they have been putting flyers in the mailboxes calling steven Fulop Gay,and not in a good way.
Just another example of the way the Healy crew rolls.

Because it has been running for at least two weeks and both campaigns must do tracking polls.
This must be hurting the Healy poll numbers so they have no choice.
I bet 85% of the people in Jersey City never knew this ever took
Place nor was filmed.

Asbury park has the best idea for the use of these containers.
They put them along the boardwalk, cut open the side, install a roll up door and use them for kiosks.
They are all painted in funky colors.Hurricanes have no effect on them and they charge next to nothing for rent.

Hey caj11, that inmate locator thing is very cool.
It does say projected release date, not exact.

I looked up healy's treasurer Leona Beldini and she is projected to get out nov of 2014. That's got to be hard time for a 78 year old lady. Kinda feel sorry for her taking the rap for Healy.

I got some surprise as I walked my dog today.I Turned the corner and walked smack into former council president Vega.
He kind of scurried away toward his house.

I guess the silver lining is that as a Convicted Felon
he will not be able to vote for Healy.

Here is where the race Stands IMO.
It will be won in the street on election day.
The HCDO Forces around the county are
starting to think Healy is toast. They will be up to all
the usual dirty tricks. No matter who you are supporting
against Healy you better mount up,this is going to get ugly.

This "plan" has been used since the 6th Century BC for Christ's sake! Check Athens Greece for it's source.

It is just that this Someone was calling for said Unsavory incumbent to resign.
You say we should not be surprised and your right,I for one always knew Dan was just another politician seeking power.
His holier than us shtick wore me out long ago.

He sold his house and closed his frame shop in Hoboken and when he loses come may i predict he will leave the city.

This is his last shot at being relevant and he is going to do whatever it takes to win, including locking arms around said unsavory incumbent.

I see by the luck of the Ballot draw in the reporter That Dan has been placed along side Healy and Candice is along side Fulop.

Maybe the reason some people here are getting it and some are not is the List the City is using.
If it were really all about good government, would not everyone on the tax rolls at least get it.
Perhaps they only sent it to registered voters of a certain age that they feel will vote for them.
Anyone here a renter that did not get it? Under 40?

I opened my mailbox yesterday and there was mail from both Steve Fulop and Mayor Healy. Both Glossy well done pieces.
Fulop's mail was I guess a kind of introduction to the people who do not know his story.Paid for by team fulop at the bottom.
Mayor Healy sent an eight page news letter with a screen shot of his tv ad on the cover. Inside was all the wonderful things he has done this year.
Reduction of crime,more parks,etc.

Then it hit me,the Healy mailer came from City Hall as an official newsletter. No paid for by team Healy at the bottom.
You and I just paid for Healys political mailer with our tax dollars. Every page is a mirror image of his Campaign materials.

He must think we are all a bunch of idiots.

Lets see how many Healy Levin signs are hung.
Lets see how many mailers for dan get sent.
Lets see how many workers are sent to help him.
Lets see what the cost of selling out is worth.

This is scary Mayor Healy! I am asking the New Dan Levin to publicly distance himself from a ticket that is supporting someone with these views. Also, Healy should not support this right wing candidate. Read about this organization Assembly of God and their platform - SCARY TICKET FOR JERSEY CITY

In JC Mayor's race, Connors pounces on Gonzalez's leadership of controversial church

Share on facebookShare on twitterShare on favoritesShare on print|More Sharing ServicesMore
Assemblyman Sean Connors (D-33) had a history of throwing political punches at Downtown Jersey City Councilman Steve Fulop, that is until Fulop made him a part of his team as a candidate for Ward D council.

Now Connors is still throwing punches - just not at Fulop.

Connors's target in this case is Ward D opponent Rev. Mario Gonzalez, whose membership in the Assemblies of God Church puts him right in the wheelhouse of anyone seeking tolerant representation on the city council, said Connors.

Gonzalez serves as the nationally appointed U.S. Missionary for the Hope Center and senior pastor of The Hope Center Tabernacle, which is affiliated with the Assemblies of God Church, a Pentecostal Christian denomination.

Connors slammed the church for backing a "radical right-wing agenda on a variety of issues, including its opposition to a woman?s right to choose, its doctrine against career women and its anti-gay rights views."

?The Rev. Gonzalez is free to hold these extreme radical right-wing beliefs when he is on the altar, but when he?s running for office, voters deserve to know where he stands on these issues,? Connors said. ?Those who want to serve in one of the nation?s most diverse cities cannot hold such extreme views against women, gays and anyone who isn?t a Pentecostal.?

The assemblyman found himself in the staunch arms of Fulop's campaign infrastructure on this one.

?While Healy claims to be a Democrat, he has picked a runningmate who would be better suited to run with a conservative, right-wing Republican,? said Bruno Tedeschi, a spokesman for the Fulop campaign. ?The voters of Jersey City need to know how radical Healy?s runningmate is. Healy conveniently left out the Rev. Gonzalez?s affiliation with the Hope Center Tabernacle and the Assemblies of God on his campaign web site to keep the public in the dark about his radical views.?

The attack by Connors and Tedeschi comes in the aftermath of the Healy campaign's charge last month that the downtown city councilman is himself too close to Republicans, and allowed GOP operative Brian Nelson to toast the mayoral challenger at a fundraiser in Monmouth County.

Here is the funny part.Dan don't know that Healy inner circle are behind another independent candidate who will file before the march 11th deadline.
They are just using Dan to lower Fulops vote totals and be the attack dog while getting the sheep to vote for someone else.

As usual even when they are doing something wrong they can't get it right. The Truck Broke Down.
First the Police came to help,No luck,Than the JCIA sent a Mecanic,

While the pictures do seem pretty upscale it will still be a diner Menu.I spoke to the owners who also own a diner in Newark.
They just felt that the new decor would attract more DT
buisness people.

The old South City Grill in Newport is also under renovation to become a Diner. This one is owned by the people who own the Skylark diner in Edison.Full seperate take out section and Bakery will be in that space.

I go to the Miss America Diner on West Side for my Greasy Spoon fix.
