I had an ice cream cake from Toricos for my birthday party a few years back. Chocolate peanut butter ice cream, vanilla ice cream, crunch and fudge in the middle. People are still talking about it. I mean like everybody.

I think you can shave off a few minutes if you make a left on Carlton just a few blocks before Manhattan. You don't have that light in the middle of the block (Liberty Ave I believe).

At least Forrest had the right mind to apologize for ruining it.

I had a client who recently went through something similar.

you can send me a PM. The story is too long to type. A short phone convo would do.

Re: when tax abatements expire....?

I have bought new construction and I am also a realtor....my experience has shown me that when a developer tells you that taxes are "1.6%" of purchase price...well, that is a guess-timate. The reality is no one knows until you get your tax bill at closing- as was previously stated. One of the problems is is that every abatement is different. I have found that visiting the tax assessor's office has been helpful in clarifying most tax inquiries that I have had.

As for calculating what your taxes will be in 20 years...i wouldnt bother trying to figure out that one. I dont know if the stats on this one have changed recently but the average american buys and then sells his/her home after 7 years. You are just going to spin your wheels trying to figure these sort of things out in this kinda town.

my vote goes to the guy with the blue hair. I have seen him at art shows and openings. I think he is a local artist. he is an older gent with a blue and pepper look to his long hair.
Maybe he is not all that weird, but his choice in hair style is a little iffy. thoughts?

The cap of executives' salaries applies only to those companies receiving bail out money. So, not all wall street execs will be affected.

I agree with Georgey boy. Call your lender and ask about the HOPE program. I have recommended this to several of my sellers. They can lower your interest and lower your payments. Trust me the last thing the bank wants to do is own real estate. Also, if you have credit card debt you can reach out to them as well. It may ruin your credit (i'm guessing its pretty damaged by now) but they can close your account, lower the interest and lower your payments. Keep in mind that this would be a "once in a lifetime" arrangement with the creditor.

hope this helps.

What I think they mean is that they will be opening a sales office in the area next month. Selling pre-construction.

What should JC give Ociviedo in return?
#17
Not too shy to talk

I just noticed today that in front of city hall on the corner of barrow and grove a new 'statue' has been erected.

It's a gift from JC's sister city Ociviedo (I believe thats the spelling).
Its a sculpture/statue of a cathedral in that city.

So, what should JC send in return? Thoughts?

Here are a couple of my suggestions; life-size statue of the JC Pimp, a sculpture depicting the actual moment Mayor Healy received the beat down from the Bradley Beach PD, a mobile of extra large crapkins.

Let me here your suggestions. Maybe we can pass it along to the City.

Do you think it would have been perfectly fine/legal if this gentleman hit some of these thugs with the same metal pipe he was threatened/assaulted with? Or would he have been brought in for striking a minor even though he would have been defending himself? Because, If this was me and I had the opportunity to stike back- I would. I think me + metal pipe = gang of minors up to no good.

Thoughts?

Well, if memory serves me correctly, according to Michael Jackson in the "Beat It" video, all you need to do is show the gang members the errors of their ways by engaging them with dance.

Try it. You'd be surprise of the powers of pursuasion held by the moonwalk.

I usually order from Carmines. I found it to be the best pizza in JC. That is not to say that i think its the best pizza ever. Father & Son in Guttenberg is my personal favorite. Unfortunately, they do not deliver to JC.
