Isn't there a time/date stamp on those tickets once they're printed? If so, you can definitely fight that can't you? Or are tickets still being handwritten in some areas?

Towing cars blocking your driveway

To tow, or not to tow?
We've called the cops before, who won't show up until 2-3 hours later, usually after said vehicle has left. We understand such calls aren't exactly an emergency but we're such at an infuriated state of mind at the time that calling 911 every five minutes isn't unreasonable. Nevertheless, the most they've done was issue a ticket. How can anyone NOT KNOW that they're blocking a driveway? The next time it happens, we will probably call a tow truck. Has anyone else done this before? Notes have become pretty useless at this point.

This is an excerpt from the 'JC Neighborhood Profile' I found online while I was doing some research for a community project. Hope it helps: "Several traffic interchanges define the area geographically and esthetically. These include the Route 440/Lincoln Highway/Communipaw Avenue intersection and the Route 440/ Charlotte Circle/Pulaski Skyway-Route 1/9 confluence of roads on the area's northern tip. West Side's major retail center is located on West Side Avenue. Other retail corridors include one along Communipaw Avenue and another along Kennedy Boulevard. Neither has experienced any significant facade renovations or infrastructure repair in decades. New Jersey City University (NJCU), located along the southern edge of the area on Culver Avenue, has been a major engine of economic renewal. It is redeveloping the University's campus and has purchased properties in the vicinity of the campus for mixed-use development including student housing. The West Side area is home to Lincoln Park, the only County Park in Jersey City. The Park is one of the defining features of the area, as is St. Mary's Cemetery located on Westside Avenue and Montgomery Street. Housing in the area ranges from single-family Victorian homes surrounding Lincoln Park to pre-war high-rise dwellings to two-three story row houses interspersed with detached single-family homes. Rental units account for about two-thirds of all housing in the area."

My friend who lives on Glenwood was mugged right on Glenwood. The "actor" was on car and we suspect that he may have followed her on her way from the PATH. Prior to this though, she never had, or was never in, any incident on that street. I also used to live on Montgomery St. a few years ago and had no problem as well.
Note: The mugging happened right in front of one of the dorms of St. Peter's College that had security cameras. We hoped the cameras would've captured something but one was broken, and the other was focused on a house suspected of drug dealing, so nothing useful to our investigation was captured.
