car break-in in Hamilton Park

Got in my car about an hour ago to go to the grocery store and saw that everything in my glove compartment and center console was strewn all over the inside of the car. Did a quick inventory and nothing was missing (had my ezpass, an unopened pair of headphones, and a $30 itunes gift card, but that's about it). Not sure how they got in or what exactly they were looking for. Just something to be aware of I guess.

cleaning service?

Hi,

Does anyone know of a good cleaning service that is relatively inexpensive (I'm thinking $60-80 per visit)? We recently had maidsinjc come to do an initial cleaning and while they were FABULOUS they are too expensive to use on a regular basis.

Thanks in advance!

Is there anything that can be done about it?? At least bother the parking authority to start enforcing red zones?

Driving down Jersey in Hamilton Park

A few days ago I almost got in an accident driving down Jersey because a driver blew past his stop sign on 7th. Then today I saw an almost identical actual accident on Erie-a driver blew past his stop sign and hit a car driving down Erie (not fast and no one was hurt but still). It seems to me like part of the problem is that there are cars parked in the no parking 'red' areas on the curbs, and also that instead of creeping forward other drivers just blow past their stop signs without even attempting to come to a stop. Is there anything that can be done about this?? I try to avoid driving down Jersey whenever possible now because it seems so unsafe...

Hi,

I'm looking for a reasonably priced gym near the Hamilton Park area. Everything around here is so expensive! Any ideas?

Thanks!

I live on 8th st. (but park anywhere from 9th-7th and sometimes on Erie or Jersey)...something similar just happened to me and I feel like a total lunatic. I went to charge my phone in my car today and my charger was missing. I then checked the rest of my car and some pens were missing too-but the dog toy and book I had in my car were still there. There's no way I could have lost my charger (it's stuck into the armrest and you would have to lift up the armrest to get it to come out) and I know that I had it as early as two days ago. I wouldn't have thought it was a break-in except for this forum and I called the non-emergency police just to report it, they basically thought I was crazy. When I asked if they have heard of anything like this happening they said not in this area at all. Ahhh! Am I crazy or was this a real break-in??
