Re: Armed Robbery - Light Rail - 6pm Sunday

Shame, can't even be aafe on the light rail, I ride a few times a week to the mall and carry my phone and tablet. There needs to be at least one transit officer on each car to not only keep people safe but to check for people riding without tickets as well.

There are LOTS of people that get on and ride without paying.

I feel safe riding the train in the early afternoon, but not so safe when riding it at night going to West Side Avenue. Especially if I have to switch at Liberty State Park if I got on the wrong train.

Lots of the times I've been on the train I haven't come across many fare inspectors and I don't mind showing my ticket. I hate when people ask me for my ticket when I get off the train because I have seen them there asking for tickets and then re-selling them (Used tickets with time left on them) to make a quick buck.

Each time I see them I call NJTPD and report them and I give a good description of them and am told they will send somebody right away. I've never stuck around to see if the NJTPD actually come though.

Light Rail Cops, I say #OOPS# EM! When I'm done riding the light rail and my ticket has extra time I will always give it to someone I see who might need it.

I don't give to the obvious people who I can spot out who are usually down at Newport Station asking for people's tickets so those lazy ingrates can resell them.

If I don't find anyone who needs a ticket and I know I'm not going to ride the light rail anymore that day I'll tear it up and toss it in the trash.

Just seen 3 of these bins along West Side Ave, seems like a good idea to keep the streets clean that is if people use them. think they should place at least 1 of these in front of every school in the City.

Here's some pictures.

I was at two of them in Hoboken today, it was great. They got drowned out by a crowd quite a few times and even left 5 minutes early at one of their protests.

Plus there was only like 5 people from Westboro Baptist Church there protesting lol.

He didn't tell me it was optional, he just said "Here you go check one of these for your free gifts" so I assumed I had to. He gave no further information.

EDIT - I canceled my debit card, I'll just get one with a new number that can't be billed by them. It's not that big of a deal for me to change my bank card number.

Warning about shopping at FYE

I was at FYE today, got me quite aggravated and pissed off but everything is settled now. Anyhow here's the deal.

I needed some headphones for my cell phone to listen to some music, went to FYE picked up a pair purchased with my debit card then the cashier says to me "Okay and here's your free gifts you can choose up to 3 if you want or just 1 up to you (They were magazine subscriptions some of up to $50 bucks each)" So since I thought I *had* to check one I checked one and exited the store.

I sat down on the bench read the paper he gave me it turns out only 2 months are free and after that if you don't call to cancel your card you used at FYE for your purchase will be charged 2 months after for the price of the subscription. I tried to call the company to cancel and had trouble with their crap service so I went to FYE got a refund on my headphones.

I decided to go to my bank cancel my debit card and just get a new one cause I figured if I did that the company who has my number can't bill me if the card is canceled.

So to any FYE employees that read this I say kiss my ass and inform your customers before they sign for their "free gift" that they'll be billed if they don't cancel. Cause the person who rang me up did NOT inform me, he was some short Asian dude with an emo cut.

I don't know about everyone else but I've never had any problems with Comcast. Internet is very fast and service hardly ever drops in my area.

Television is always good and I've never had a problem getting a rep on the phone either.

Just got out of the movies at Newport went to see Slumdog Millionaire (Theater 7). Heard something squeaking while waiting for the previews to start, thought nothing of it and kept waiting for the previews.

Heard it again and checked under the seat, seen a mouse crawling around, absolutely disgusting. Never going there again.
