We've been at Brunswick for about two years now. Our son started when he was 13 months. Just so you know, their infant room starts at 6 months. The school has been wonderful and I echo everyone's comments. The kitchen staff is amazing and I'm so thankful for all of the foods they have gotten my son to eat because he doesn't have the greatest variety at home. I'm also incredibly thankful that I don't have to prepare a box of food every morning to send to school. They take care of all of his food needs and they give him a great variety.

When I was at the Parking Authority picking up some visitor passes a few months back, the woman behind the desk said that there was a measure in front of the city council to extend the parking stickers until 11PM - so the enforcement would be 8AM to 11PM. That should help if it does pass.

I can't speak for the infant room as our son started at Brunswick school when he was 1. We've enjoyed the experience. The foods they have introduced have been great - beet hummus, chia pudding, etc. The teachers seem to be engaged and the rooms and school are bright and inviting. I too appreciate the parking lot for drop off/pick up although the stroller room is nice as well. Although they had very few off days this year, next years schedule will include a lot more holidays - MLK, President's Day, Good Friday and the two days leading up to Labor Day.

Dr. Migliaccio is wonderful, but he delivers at Englewood and Palisades. He delivered my son at Englewood and I couldn't have asked for a better Dr. or hospital.

Off Topic, but I loved that the the older gentlemen who bike around the neighborhood with their bicycles decked out in the Puerto Rican flag were all parked out in front of Guillo's on Saturday afternoon. I like that the neighborhood still has that type of biker bar. The sight of it made me smile.

I go to Exchange Place Therapy Group for PT and their director is a chiropractor - Dr. Drew Nussbaum. People seem to be healing and liking him. I can say the PT service has been good, I can't vouch for the chiropractor services. It is located on the corner of Montgomery and Greene St.

I will second the ricotta pancakes at GPs at Hamilton Park. They were wonderful.

I apologize if this has already been mentioned, but I notice they are digging up the ground between the Hamilton Park Montessori school and the building on the other side. I hope they are just building a play ground for the school instead of another apartment complex. Anyone know?

I meant to call PSEG about this yesterday. They were going door to door and when they got to my door he informed me that they were there to let me know I was delinquent on my bill. I told him I had just watched him knock on 5 neighbors doors and was he telling me the whole street was delinquent. He said yes. I told him I didn't have time for whatever he was selling.

I've taken it 3 mornings in the last month. It takes about 6 minutes to get a car and the cost is around $19-22 for UberX. One time at 4:00 AM I mistakenly chose Uber Black and paid $55...a costly error.

Re: Downtown Jersey City businesses take on local farmers market

I got an email today from my favorite food vendor from Hamilton Park that they will no longer be there on Wednesdays because of the prepared food ban. I'm really disappointed in the short shortsightedness of the city council. Getting a prepared meal on Wednesday night at the Farmers Market was something we did as a family and thoroughly enjoyed. It by no means took away from a restaurant. We never go to a restaurant on a weekday night, but getting out to the park with the dogs, kids picking out a couple of meals to share and listening to the hustle and bustle of the Farmers Market was a really fun night. It was a very casual thing that got us all out of the house and mingling with our neighbors on a Wednesday evening. I'm sorry to find out that we won't have the same experience this summer.

I live at a 1/2 as well. If I used .5, they delivered my packages to 5th street. The one that really won't accept the 1/2 that is most frustrating is Fresh Direct. I like to have my groceries delivered between 6 and 8 am on a weekend and I stand at my window to catch the truck and driver so that they don't wake my neighbor at the whole number address that I have to put in. I do add a note that the actual address is xxx 1/2, but they don't read the notes. I've found a couple of websites that accept 1\2 if the don't accept 1/2.

I've been here twice for dinner. The pizza is great and the salads are as well - both had great combinations. The bread and butter is amazing as are the meatballs. The cocktail menu looks really interesting, but I just had wine.

We went here for the second time last night. Great service, great guacamole and the small plates have been fantastic. A great addition to the restaurant rotation!

Assessments

We are in the process of purchasing a single family home in DT Jersey City. Is anyone aware if the sewer repairs that are being downtown will be assessed to home owners? or will that just be reflected in our taxes at some point? If it is going to be an assessment, has anyone received what their portion will be? Thanks
