I had a pleasure of speaking with Dan several times after I reached out to him for his assistance with PS#37 since his kids go there and he is involved with the school. He was so thoughtful in his response and I was so impressed each time, same way I am impressed by Steven Fulop. I don't presume to know nor guess why Steven Fulop wouldn't endorse Dan but Dan has my vote regardless of which team ticket he runs in.

We ate here today and the food was AMAZING! Simply perfection, and price very reasonable as well. And having just opened, I expected the service to be spotty but everyone was so warm, friendly and attentive, I left there with the biggest smile on my face and thanking the staffs profusely for an amazing meal. What a great addition to the neighborhood, yay!

ant731, you are the only one still missing the point.

The point is, you have gone beyond your anger and frustration by previously posting someone's home address and proudly posting that you will be going there this weekend to give your piece of mind and in return, encouraging others to do the same.

He might have unintentionally taken your and others money by trying to keep a failing business. But the consensus seem to be he provided a nice place that a lot of parents will miss. You in return, fail to see in your frustration over loosing your money went beyond and was vindictive.

I am just glad the webmaster removed your previous post with his address.

The difference is Taqueria Owner, you went out of your way not just to insult your clients but the neighborhood. You again and again fail to recognize your part in turning customers away with horrendous service. You are nothing but a bully.

But then again, this isn't a discussion about you is it? You being who you are, cannot take any criticism from others while you rain insult and rudeness to people trying to patronize your establishment.

Being a parent hopefully changed you for a better.

'ant731', I hope you can see past your anger and perhaps as a parents learn a bit of forgiveness and compassion. Posting someone's address who must obviously in more dire financial situation than you and I, is no way to find any resolution.

I cannot imagine how difficult it must be for someone to try to make it being a small business owner and a provider of a family to loose it. Your loosing $400 in no way will effect your lively hood. But to vent what is obviously very unfortunate situation by being so vile to post someone's address and to boast about it is just a real shame.

I don't presume to know the owner in any way, but may be he was trying to make the business turn around until the very last minute? I hate to kick someone when they are down. I hope none of us are ever in his shoes. As a member of JC Mom Meet Up group, I am sorry for anyone who has lost the money but I am also sorry for the business owner, it must be a terrible lost to him.

The fact the owner keeps ranting and calling people retarded and bullying people for leaving constructive criticism of experiencing a bad service at his establishment shows you why so many people have strong negative response to this establishment.

Taqueria nothing but a cheap knock off of 'Toi' in LA in ambiance, a quirky Thai restaurant. The attitude of the owner and the staffs, deplorable. It has become something of a topic around my friends and neighbors and I don't know of any around me that will support that establishment again. I am not the only one that got terrible service while pregnant either, my friend had the same exact experience. And no, we didn't do anything to 'offend' the owner nor the staffs. And 'following the rules?'... we were there to order tacos and not taking an exam. I don't see how so many of us have 'failed' to order properly and 'offend' the staffs since we were all there with one purpose, to spend our money.

Just shameful...

"Can't even tell you the difference in class in the clientele in NYC than that in Jersey. So don't worry, it's just a matter of time before we close the jersey store. " Nicely put by the owner of the Taqueria.

As a parent myself, I agree, no one should stoop to calling someone's kid by names. But I think the response by the owner, and his padding back his words, is more deplorable.

Please keep your words and do close the Jersey Store. Residents of Jersey, your lower class clientele, we have to be an absolute idiots to spend our money on an establishment where the owner is shows such a disregard for the town that enriched him. So I encourage people to spend their hard earned dollars elsewhere to support other eateries that are actually grateful and kind to their clienteles.

Shame on you Taqueria.

To Taqueria, you did not open nor operate your business in JC to 'give back' to the city that you compared to being lower class. You did it only to make money off of the JC residents. You are not running a charity here, and it's safe to assume you would be the least giving person in the forum, especially to the city and its residents you obviously so disdain.

Based on my numerous bad experiences there, one being making me get up while I was pregnant because I sat on the chair to rest while my husband was ordering accompanied by the stink eyes by the owner, we stopped going there as well.

As a small business owner myself, I really thought about posting a negative comment about another small business. But the owner's arrogance, treatments towards the community he has profited from has ignited me to write this.

I have owned a successful retail business in Soho for over 6 years and let me tell you the owner of Taqueria, you have a lot to learn. You get what you give, and a lightbulb should go into your head why you might be getting so many negative comments about the experience at your establishment. There is no smoke where there is no fire.

I do hope you close your location in JC. I will try my best to contribute to that by making sure not to frequent your establishment.
