Thank you so much SRhia. I am going to try walking it even though you would think the stores and management of the plaza would make the trip pedestrian friendly.

Seriously, things are getting worse on the Light Rail. It's only a matter of time before something even more serious occurs. There really is no security or enforcement on the light rail stops and trains.

Sounds like someone went off their meds. Scary.

Walk around the Garment District/FIT you will run into a bunch of places.

Of course, I would recommend you go to Mood.

As Tim Gunn would say, "make it work".

Luv that show. :)

I don't recall there being any sidewalk once you have to make the left turn to head towards the Walmart and other shops. Let me know how the experience was SRhia. Thanks!

Thank god CdeCoincy, I have spent countless sleepless nights worried about the delicate nature of your eyeballs and the horrors that they might be taking in due to the surrounding architecture.

The best and first Wawa i ever went to was the one at Princeton University. So freaking awesome and ironic cause of all the great architecture. Bonus it's right near the Dinky!

I think this is great news. I still prefer reading traditional books, even if e-readers and such have their good points.

I would definitely support this. Will they serve coffee? A new book find and some coffee is all i need to spend the day away. :)

When I had a car, I used to avoid the Pulaski like the plague. I would always see car/truck parts or an accident on it.

The only other bridge that scares me more is the Verrazano. I remember they were doing work on that bridge forever....and there is this nasty, steep turn to get on to it....just crazy!

Holy canoli Batman! I know that I am usually hard on posters like Heights especially when it comes to spewing some not so nice stuff on race(yes it is a man made construct) and related stuff but even he is at the end of the day not a bad guy.

But PEC0905 is a total douche!

To vigilante...I kinda of would have to agree with Ianmac47 about your earlier post....not really cool.

I mean u did single out Asians and then were a bit more specific saying "indians".

I think the real issue is the lack of decent and affordable housing.

I can assure you that every immigrant group and even long established residents have lived all bunched up at one time or another.......many even now.

Example: College students, hispanics, Africans, African-Americans, Caucasians, etc.....

Glitterqueen is right. They were charging Manhattan prices. Someone(maybe on JCLIST) had said they made challah bread....but when i looked at their prices for baked goods....it was way too rich for me.

The search for a good priced challah bread in JC continues...

Re: Authentic Chinese Groceries and Food - where to go?
Home away from home
Home away from home

I went the other day. This place has a nice selection. They also, sell groceries, fresh live fish, and a host of prepared foods. I saw Chinese dumplings and buns.

The layout is clean and simple with room for more products.....if they do well.

My favorite find was Korean Ramen....which are freaking yummy...as long as you add a host of fresh veggies they end up being a bit healthier.........i now don't have to take the long public transit trip to Edgewater to stock up on them. All though this place can't compare to KMAN or Mitsuwa. It is a good start.

They are open every day from 8 to 9 pm.

And no, I do not work for them or have any relation to them.

I had to post this about a new sweeping surveillance program just uncovered by the Wall Street Journal. Slowly, we are allowing our rights and freedoms to be in jeopardy. Seeing things like this happen makes me uncomfortable with constricting the 2nd Amendment with laws on bearing arms.

Just thought I would let you all know. A new Asian grocery market just opened this week in Bayonne. I plan on checking it out tomorrow. It's about 4 or 5 blocks from Hudson Bayonne Lanes bowling alley/Fine Fair Supermarket.

Many of us have forgotten about the shooting that took place in an Amish school house.....and how the people of that community rallied.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amish_school_shooting

I am not a conspiracy nut but I don't want guns to be banned out right. Many police departments large and small are becoming para-military forces....and if they can get the funding for more and more heavy duty firepower they are not saying NO. Just look at the NYPD and how they continue to violate the constitution. Example...setting up their own spying assets not only in foreign countries but even other states spying on mostly innocent, ordinary people. Our CIA, FBI and other agencies have set up secret prisons and have kidnapped and tortured many innocent people....how long before the NYPD take that route????

Making the purchase of weapons extremely difficult, time confusing and a great deal more expensive is the way to go.

For the record, i have never owned a gun nor would i ever buy one. It's just not a choice i wish to make.

We all have littered now and then....but several years ago i realized how stupid it is to do so. I can't tell you how many times, I have gone out of my way to find a trash can or carried an empty cup or bottle instead of just tossing it.

It's sad that people expect "city hall" to line every block with trash cans. Lets say they actually do this....you are still going to have lots of idiots who aren't going to use them.

I am sorry T-Bird but do you hear what you are saying? In this case the JCPD dropped the ball big time. If you or your loved one was savagely attacked as this family was...you would be singing a different tune. I think its sick you would call this an "opportunity"....you do realize a 3 month old innocent child was lost, right?

Brewster, Hoboken has had flooding problems for years now. Add in their poor infrastructure and lack of proper maintenance or planning and you have a disaster in the making. Under Zimmer's current administration...you might get the next Atlantis.
