I love how all y'all have to resort to name calling when you run out of things to say. Calling someone "douchy" is a favorite isn't it? FFS!

It isn't up to anyone here to judge these people for having the money to buy an $85,000. car. They can do as they wish with their money.
It wouldn't be a top priority for me to have an expensive car like that but I say mazel tov to anyone who worked their arses off in order to buy an expensive car. The have-nots always seem so jealous of other people's stuff....It's
pathetic.

For store-bought, I like "The Tribe" brand. It is MUCH better than Sabra. The Roasted Pepper is especially good.

No thank God it was not a JC cop. It was handled in the best way. My child told me what happened because that's the sort of honest kid we raised. I immediately told the mother and the parents addressed the situation. No need for me to call DYFS as there was no malicious intent or negligence on the Dad's part. He was made aware of the situation and took appropriate actions which prevented any kind of tragedy.
That's all folks.

Damn! This is so incredibly sad for all the families involved in this horrendous tragedy. I feel sick thinking about it.
I remember one time my child visited a school friend whose Dad was a cop and came home and told me how they got one of the Dad's pistols out of the top of a closet. I did tell the Mom and she and the Dad secured the weapon but was the last time he visited that kid.

So what you're saying is that the JClist and the JJ are spreading false rumors? Are you saying that they are reporting false information, that these crimes didn't happen?

They stopped being called Indians when people came came over in droves from India. Way too confusing. But NOW what are we going to do? We now have to deal with old Siberians and recent Siberians. I'm so offended to know that the old Siberians came over and did nothing to improve the place then when the Pilgrims showed up and established a colony the old Siberians had to be paid off. And that's how the Russian mafia began in this country.( Lol, just kidding)

Ianmac said, "Luckily for me when I say, "Owlie is an asshat douchebag" its true, so I don't have to worry about it being libelous."

Is that really true? Do we know each other? For the record, I don't care what you say about me. You are entitled to your opinion. (also, I think you actually meant. ", it's true")
I know nothing about you but I think you're very lucky to be home at 10 in the morning so you had the time to write that very important news about me for all to see. I, on the other hand, was hard at work, so that I can be taxed to help run the system. Now that I'm home I finally got a chance to respond. Jesus, I AM an ass-hat douchbag to think I have the right to dare say what I believe is true. I even forgot to call you names. I'm sorry. I didn't know the rules. Thank you for the head's up. It's been a real treat hearing from you. I will take your kind words under advisement. We should all do a meet-up and hang out. Maybe we could go to Barcade . I'll even buy you a drink because IMHO you seem to need something to help you chill out a bit.
Have a great weekend!!!!

Re: Toll Brother's Travesty in the PAD

Home away from home

There are already plenty of "higher income "families in JC. My problem is that it is damn frustrating not to have amenities HERE. It's a pain to always have to go outside my community to fulfill my basic needs. Some of us can not exist on processed foods. I need a place to buy various organic foods. I'd also like better quality restaurants.
Do we really need more residential housing which will bring more people to a place where the current conditions aren't sufficient for the present population?
I think the city is letting us down and victimizing us. It's very disheartening.

Re: Do we need a strong republican mayor?

WTF R U talkn' 'bout ? It is against the law when you make false accusations about someone's character. You stated your opinion as fact and you're SO wrong. This has nothing to do with free speech...it crosses the line and becomes libelous and slanderous. Just because YOU say it, doesn't mean it true.

Rudy Giuliani NEVER was a cop. Giuliani served in the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, eventually becoming U.S. Attorney. He prosecuted a number of high-profile cases, including ones against organized crime and Wall Street financiers. He was extremely successful. Did someone you know go to prison because of him?
Have something positive to say or shut up because you REALLY don't know what you're talking about.

Seagull is correct. There are no great restaurants in JC. They are mediocre at best.
( I will continue to say that we don't need more residents; what we need is a way better grocery store like Whole Foods or/and Trader Joe's)

Re: Toll Brother's Travesty in the PAD

Toll Brothers developments are very much like Walmart. They don't give a damn about the community they set their sights on. They will promise everything but in the end they will only benefit themselves.
They will build whatever they want and block out the sun to all the other buildings.
We don't need another huge residential building Downtown. That will only make the PATH even more crowded . We need something to make Jersey City more livable. We need a Trader Joe's or a Whole Foods. We don't need to obliterate the history of Jersey City. We don't need to complicate our lives. We need to make it more pleasant.

Wow! Five gutless wonders gang up on ONE guy. They must be so proud of themselves. Since they probably can't read, they don't know about the concept of mano-mano*
*(Spanish for "hand-to-hand". Used most commonly for a competition between two people - often in hand to hand combat. The phrase is often mistakenly thought by English speaking people to mean "man-to-man".)
I am SO sick of hearing about this kind of filthy behaviour.
