Uhhhh Yup.... this WAPO blog opinion piece finally settles the debate about Trump's presidential chops. Thanks for this contribution it certainly convinced me and many other readers to vote for HRC. Very brave of her to speak the truth Obama will not, HRC finally said Islamic Radicals. Wow she is different from Obama. Why don't you explain to the readers what you admire most about HRC and why that qualifies her to be President?

Yawn. You?re like a broken record with this nonsense about ?Sunday morning golf game.? Unless you were outside screaming about the fact that no president took more days off than W, your words are hollow.

Facts are facts. Republicans can meet in Capital Hill and put forward a resolution for war against ISIS. They have not. Until they do?

[quote]

What can I say... MSNBC reporter Jim Milichvski (SP) was asked what the President's morning schedule was and he replied he was going to play golf but had to cancel. He added that the WH mood was somber because his Sunday routine was cancelled and it the way he likes to relax. He also said FBI Director Comey was personally briefing the President. Something very unusual. I suppose because DOJ Lynch was in China and they needed to get focused on the political damage control to another major security failure that struck his administration.

You are aware that multiple Republican candidates for president stood on a stage with a Christian minister that said the exact same thing, right?

And you point is what? Please show me the hundreds of news stories after where Christians strapped suicide bombs on to their mothers, wives and children and attacked Mosques or public spaces full of innocent Muslims

If Republicans truly believe that fighting ISIS is a necessity, they can authorize a war against it. Until then, I don?t take a Republican seriously when it comes to this because they are clearly talking out of their ass.

And for the democrats, accepting these atrocities is an acceptable cost for doing business with countries like Iran. Iran who reneged on their nuke agreement with Obama, Clinton and Kerry. And Libya. And Syria and.... Foreign Policy geniuses who think themselves above the US law because of their globalist views. What peace has the Noble Peace Prize winner left the world after 8 years and what is HRC capable of contributing outside of her dedication to the Clinton Foundation. After admitting the mail server issue was a mistake, has she promised to stay within US government communication protocols is she replaces Obama?

This is the spin that is coming out to protect the administration failures... lone wolf pycho racist homophobe who slipped under the radar.... The Feds failed again letting their left wing politically correct ideology over rule common sense. The LGBT community is a significant part of the democrat voting block and in typical fashion with DC, its the political optics that count.

PS ? the father thinks he is the exiled President of Afghanistan. Hmmm.

You fool.... they had him twice. He works for a contract security company that works for the government. They had the Jahdi Army Major at Fort Hood and classified that mass murder as work place violence. The Russians gave up the Boston Bomber. The Feds are not even trying hard with the stuff that falls into their lap. And this willful complacency starts from the top down. "Lone Wolf" is a convenient excuse to protect the people who are failing to protect US Citizens.

We know what the problem is and temporary measures to get control of the immigration issue will provide relief while we get control of the internal jihadi threat that is killing thousands of Americans.

Of course this will be how the cover-up plays out, roll out the Father and the ex-wife...The Feds have this guy (twice) and no doubt political correctness played a role in letting this guy walk. They had the older brother from the Boston Bomber Brothers too. See something say something. Red Flags all over this guy who works for a professional security company. Red Flags all over the Army Doctor Killer at Fort Hood. And remember it is the Feds also investigating all of the thousands of "refugees" coming into country.

Republicans Are Erasing LGBTQ People From Their Own Tragedy

In the wake of the mass shooting at Pulse, an LGBTQ nightclub in Orlando, Florida, both Republican and Democratic politicians took to Twitter to express their condolences. Because the massacre appears to have targeted sexual minorities, this created a somewhat surreal effect: The sight of GOP politicians?some of the same ones who have devoted much of their careers fighting to deprive gays of their civil rights?sympathizing with the very people whom they have long bashed in a bid for conservative votes. Consider Sen. Marco Rubio:

Rubio is a staunch opponent of same-sex marriage and would like to overturn the Supreme Court?s ruling affirming gay people?s constitutional right to wed. Worse, when Rubio served as Florida?s House majority leader, the state?s foster care system was in a crisis: Due to a severe lack of foster parents, children were essentially being imprisoned in inhumane conditions. One possible solution would be to lift Florida?s ban on allowing gay people to foster children. Rubio rejected the idea. ?Some of these kids are the most disadvantaged in the state,? he explained. ?They shouldn't be forced to be part of a social experiment.?

Even more surreally, see former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee:

But if it were up to Huckabee, gay people would not be legally permitted to start their own families. Huckabee staunchly opposes same-sex marriage, civil unions, and gay adoption. In explaining his opposition to gay adoption in particular, he declared, ?Children are not puppies. This is not a time to see if we can experiment and find out, how does this work?? At various points in his career, Huckabee has also said that AIDS patients should be quarantined; that homosexuality is a ?lifestyle? similar to drinking alcohol; and that legalizing same-sex marriage is analogous to legalizing incest and drug use. When the Supreme Court invalidated a federal same-sex marriage ban, Huckabee tweeted: ?Jesus wept.?

There are many more examples of aggressively anti-gay politicians tweeting about the Pulse shooting, but one common thread ties them together: None of them mention that the shooting targeted, or even involved, the LGBTQ community. Indeed, not a single congressional Republican who tweeted about the shooting mentioned LGBTQ people. That stands in stark contrast to President Barack Obama?s clear assertion that ?shooter targeted a nightclub? where ?lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender people ?came together to be with friends, to dance, sing, and live,? and ?to raise awareness and speak their minds and advocate for their civil rights.?

Republicans? silence is actually quite apt. As a party, after all, the GOP has spent decades attempting to degrade sexual minorities and even drive them out of public life. It is altogether fitting, then, that conservative politicians are erasing LGBTQ people from their own tragedy. The gesture of support, I suppose, is basically benevolent. But let?s be clear about this: The 50 victims of Orlando?s LGBTQ nightclub massacre died as full and equal citizens under the law in spite of the Republican party?s best efforts to relegate them to second-class citizenship.

Read more from Slate on the Orlando nightclub shooting.

Mark Joseph Stern is a writer for Slate. He covers the law and LGBTQ issues.

Anti-LGBT Texas Lt. Gov. Tweets: ?Man Reaps What He Sows?

Dan Patrick, the anti-LGBT lieutenant governor of Texas, tweeted the biblical phrase ?man reaps what he sows? hours after an attack on a gay nightclub in Florida killed at least 50 people.

Patrick, a Republican, introduced legislation to force transgender students to use the bathroom of the gender listed on their birth certificates. ?The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction,? the passage from Galatians 6:7 continues.

According to a Patrick spokesperson, the tweet was ?pre-scheduled.? The governor's account eventually deleted the tweet entirely.

Yes, she has issues. Complains about education costs, yet gets 350K for teaching one course. Bitches about income inequality, yet flipped 5 foreclosed houses and made a ton of cash. Claimed to be American Indian and got preferential treatment, yet doesn't have a drop of Cherokee blood-but she does have 'high cheekbones'. Calls out Hillary for being the craven tool of Wall Street, yet endorses her. Problems indeed.

Interesting bit of JC History even though the source disturbs some people. I thought the 1960 section about the BE downturn needed some editing... " Then the neighborhood was hit hard by veterans returning home from Vietnam with heroine addictions that were easy to pacify with a simple trip into Manhattan. ?Jackson Avenue was already in trouble because a lot of the merchants had closed their stores, but when heroine moved in it was over,? said Mr. Morgan. A very specious argument since Ready, Fire, Aim Fulop had no problem making what you'd have to hope was an informed decision to initially endorse the idea, absent the enabling legislation.
