It's funny to read raw chicken being described as "in good condition".
Anyways, if you're not moving far. I would make chicken stock and freeze it. Easy to make and versatile, nothing beats homemade stock. If this isn't a possibility, I'd probably just throw it out. I know it's a waste, but I'd be too paranoid of getting someone else sick.

I just read the Kickstarter profile and omg, are you having your mom flown in from korea? The menu's going to be legit!
Also read over the menu and didn't notice mandu on the menu. Gotta have mandu on the menu....especially frozen that I can steam up at home.

I can't recall the exact names of any, but their are some really good ones in fort Lee and palisades park. the culture at those places are pretty much Korean and the restaurants for the most part authentic.

And don't forget about the Naengmyeon, my favorite dish. Well, maybe include it in the summer menu atleast...
And agree on the Korean to English translation thing. Frustrating that no one can agree on the spelling.

There's a place in Manhattan (23rd st) called kofoo that I used to always run into to grab some kimbab. The place is nothing fancy, but it's pretty tasty and affordable.

I don't want to say he was asking for it, but it sounds to me as he sorta was. Don't leave anything of value in plain view inside your car! This isn't true just for the shop rite parking lot or anywhere in JC for that matter, I mean anywhere.
And did he leave his door unlocked? Thieves generally don't spend the time to pick a lock. They'd rather smash in a window... I feel bad for the guy, but this could've been prevented with a bit of common sense.

That is indeed unfortunate. The only decent place to get a banh mi in my opinion. Anyone know if they are closing for good or if they are relocating? Would be great if they reopened near the Vietnamese place on 10th.

I'm about to move myself and just went through this myself. I ended up going with 1800gotjunk. They were pricey but i'm no longer a young man, so I couldn't be bothered with heavy lifting so I went along with it. They are also handy when it comes to getting rid of electronics because it's getting increasingly difficult to throw stuff out.
If your sofa is still in usable condition, you may consider freecycle, getting rid of your unwanted goods to those who want or need it. You'll be introducing strangers into your home so maybe that's not an option... http://groups.freecycle.org/freecycle-hudsoncounty-nj/description

I saw a unit there a year ago and got a really good vibe. If I recall, the maintenance fee was on the low side because of the virtual door man and lack of ammenities (like a gym, etc). I spoke to a tenant and I think he said Fios was included in the fees which is a plus. The building seemed clean and well maintained. The only reason I didn't pursue it was because the unit I saw was tiny and the others were out of my price range.
Can't beat the convenience factor (especially if you don't own a car). And as someone mentioned, there's going to be A LOT of construction going on in that neighborhood for the next few years.

I was in a position where I was denied a loan because there was an issue with the developer holding & renting x% of the units that are not actively on the market.
It's very discouraging, but I would just call a bunch of mortgage companies until you find one that can help. A good place to start would be contacting the developer and getting a list of mortgage companies recommended by them and find out who recently was able to close at that particular development. As far as who is responsible for catching such things, I have no idea. I do understand your frustration however because I went through a period of anger and helplessness myself. Best of luck.

I've been told by my real estate agent that the pickings are pretty slim during the winter months because people don't want to be bothered with moving over the holidays and things usually pick up again in February. I'm not sure if the same applies for the renting market.

Yea, I tried the Special last week myself, and it was pretty bad. The bread was too spongy. The texture of the meat was kinda gross. The whole sandwich was unusually sweet, that is until you bite into the jalapeno at which point, all you tasted was the heat.
Not sure how they managed to so grossly miss the mark on what should be a relatively easy sandwich. Still no decent banh mi option in JC.

I'm a big fan of banh mi sandwiches and I'll definitely be checking these guys out. I always found it puzzling that there aren't more banh mi options here in downtown considering there's a big enough vietnamese population here to support it. I know Saigon Cafe offers it for lunch, but at $9.50, it's ridiculously expensive.

I've been to DeCarlos a couple of times and they do a great job. If you tell them that you're not in a rush, they can take FOREVER though, so you might want to give them a hard deadline if you need it for a specific event. Also, they require payment up front....not sure if this policy has changed since I was last there.
They really do a great job though....

Unless it's a really well paying job, I definitely don't think the daily commute is worth it. You could potentially lose an entire day in the course of the week (~15hrs) just on the commute alone. It could also potentially be very expensive. And if you plan on driving, the traffic can be brutal down there as others have mentioned.
I don't know the nature of the job, but if you can work remotely from home, I would maybe try to work out a deal where I take a little less (subtracting the cost of the commute) and telecommute four days out of the week and reporting in one day out of the week. Just a thought.

Really? I'll go there for packaged goods from time to time and always thought the place to be a pretty laid back old man's bar. I've never been there very late though, so maybe the patrons can get a bit rowdy, but that's to be expected w/ a lot of bars after 1 or 2 in the morning.

i got a suit tailored at decarols on monmouth a while back. they did a fantastic job and made my suit look a lot more expensive then what I actually paid for. It did end up taking a lot longer than expected, so if you are in a rush, maybe look elsewhere.
you should note that they expect full payment up front (they did when I went a year ago anyway), and it's not cheap. But every guy should have one good fitting suit in their closet and they did a really good job, so you shouldn't let the price dissuade you too much.
