Maybe the Cheesecake Factory will move in to the retail space below.

Doesn't look like there is any onsite parking either.

Yikes... $680/sf is insanely high for building that will likely lack any sort of nice amenities! That's not much more than The Oakman, which was selling at about 10-15% more per sf and that will be a luxury building with 24-hr doormen, tons of amenities and a walk half as short to the Grove PATH. The DTJC market IS really crazy.

cant speak for construction quality seems to be better than the junk that is the gannon.

given how hot the market is, they will probably sell it though.

Using The Gannon as a baseline is too easy. ;)
And, don't be too sure about the units moving too quickly... The Gannon is not yet fully sold, and it has been close to a year already.

Back in the day there was actually a bakery on that lot which is why it's named Cheesecake lofts.

Isn't the same developer doing both buildings? Maybe you can ask these questions to the sales office for 251 Newark Ave.

Does anyone know whether the proposed 54 residential units on 239-249 Newark Avenue will be condos or rentals? Will they build all the way to the edge of the existing building on the same lot and right up against 251 Newark Avenue? Are there any existing renderings or plans out there? I am thinking of purchasing property at 251 Newark Avenue and wondering how much of the cut out light corridor will be blocked by the new building coming in. Thanks.

They are listed on Zillow as condos.

Stupid food names are way better than pretentious historical names.

Spare me your Cast Iron Lofts. Bring on the Nutella Lofts.
