Identifying with uneducated people because of poor grammar? LOL. They also identify with that 30k they could use in their own accounts. The city literally has to 'shut down' on election day, just to motivate the machine. pathetic really. Go Fulop!

to make matter worse with the violin teacher is that he was convicted and jailed in 2000 for nine months...for some form of child abuse. Riddle me this, how on earth does a man with a child abuse record become an official state sponsored charity for children??? What is the vetting process? Who passed him through and did that person or people receive kick backs while he was raping kids.

Both myself and girlfriend consistently are over charged at Helen's for ordering a slice of vegetable pizza. While the normal price should be $3.50...the workers will quote anything from $4.50 up to $6 (and yes...we have paid it...stupid, I know)
Has anybody else had that issue? And is this actually people who pocket the extra money? Just asking.

Good for them. Too many establishments don't have a chance because of the city's poor performance. Ox is another. Poor park and 6th. this city needs an enima.

Oh no. That's horrible. I'm also concerned about random kids and adults hanging out without dogs in the runs. There is something unusual going on. One person claimed they were/bit twice last week.

It maybe halloween...but the skeleton has been there for about a year now. Gang related? probably, but not sure.
I love how those are quick to call names...are not observant..at all.

yeah...I totally agree. Why on earth they have chosen Jersey City to run around ranting bits of hatred, we'll probably never know. But with all this cities problems, a bunch of freaks on the streets screaming because they don't approve of the Star Bar, isn't on my radar either.

The police are aware of the problems with this block and have managed problems as they've arisen in the past.

Who wrote the above from VVPA? Are you serious? It's been a crime ridden park for 30+ years now. I counted the width of the park this morning...took me 47 steps to cross it. The fact that the cops and politicians can't handle 48 or so feet? its beyond nuts.

considering it's been 30 years or so that this particular park hasn't been safe, I beg to differ.

I agree. I would rather have no park there and a safe neighborhood than one like that.

Here! Here! I worked tirelessly last year with Captain Mcdonough and had 23 people arrested in the park. I pay way too much in property taxes for people to continuously look the other way. I don't think the cops are scared...but there are a couple of them that are actually BFF's with the gang members...hmmm...wonder how that works.

the answer is...it's both. There is a gang (they wear red baseball hats) that deal drugs in the Barrow Park. They have various runners that either walk or ride bikes over from the projects, which creates issues for Wayne St down to Varick..since that's how the runners pass through.

I'm bringing seven people. Here are the sign slogans thus far:
Resign, Resign, You bumbling slime
That means YOU TEAM HEALY

Citizens OF JC demand a recall

I have an envelope for you- instead of 10K- it's got your pink slips

Go Directly to Jail, Do Not Pass GO, Do Not Collect 20K

$20,000 buys alot of asparagus, doesn't it?
Healy team, do you understand that?

The Machine Voted You In, The People Want You Out!

I'm looking for something snazzy about the raised taxes...if you can think of any thing!
