Here are a list of websites where artists can promote themselves and their latest events:

JC-Arts.org: Artists and musicians can submit their events and promote their cultural events.

JCArtist.org: Artists can register for a free online portfolio and curators can promote their organized exhibitions.

JC Fridays: JC Fridays is a quarterly event, held four times a year at the start of every season: March, June, September, December. The next JC Fridays will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014.

DestinationJC.com: Run by the Department of Tourism. You can submit your art event by e-mailing the administrator.

Reddit JC: Post images of your artwork and links to events in this community subrreddit.

American Towns: Community calender for events.

I can also recommend a number of Facebook pages and Twitter accounts, if you'd like.

Support JC Arts!

Hamilton Square is quite nice. Secured entry, doorman, and many amenities. The building is super green, but there are tons of small features that are lovely, such as heated bathrooms, wine fridges, etc.

The area boasts wine shops, restaurants, art events, Hamilton Park, schools, valet, underground parking garage, and other good stuff.

Here's a linkaroo: http://www.livingonthepark.com/building

I will admit title of thread made me giggle. But I wish your friend all the best as they look for a new dwelling.

GP's Hamilton Park will be celebrating New Year's Eve with a prix fixe menu. They will also be open at 11am on January 1 with a big brunch party and complimentary drinks.

Port-O Lounge will be hosting a dance party on New Year's Eve.

LITM always has a big bash, as well.

Liberty House has a great view and a few different options as to where you can host the event, such as a banquet area and a beautiful outdoor space overlooking the NYC skyline: http://www.libertyhouserestaurant.com/

If you're looking for a hipper location that's part art gallery, party restaurant/lounge, LITM rents out their restaurant area: http://litm.com/

GP's Hamilton Park is another great venue. They have outdoor seating that overlooks the park, as well as an upscale interior with Italian bistro feel: http://gpsrestaurant.com/

Dr. Richard Cohen on Jersey Avenue is awesome:

He capped my tooth after I chipped it in the classiest way possible...on a beer bottle.

He had a good sense of humor about it.

I know of a few businesses/organizations who may be a good fit, dependent on the number of attendants. How many people are typically in one of these sessions?
