There is BBQ at Legal Beans. But I did not think they were too tasty.

Re: Why is pizza so bad in downtown JC?

I love pizza and eat a lot of it. As others have mentioned Rustique is great. The flavors are wonderful. But it isn't the greasy cheesy pizza I am sometimes looking for.

I completely agree about Helen's. The pizza is not very good. But the people seem nice.

Two Boots is alright but it's so expensive.

Carmines and Delinos taste about the same and are good.

I have had some good and bad pies from Chill Out(now called Raffaelo's).

When I lived next to Michael's Pizza/Video thing I enjoyed going there because the lady was super sweet and the pizza was tasty.

Buon Appetito was nice. Nothing too amazing.

This may not be a popular opinion but the best pizza I have had in Jersey City has been from Frank's Pizzeria on Monmouth between 3rd and 4th. Frank is usually always working and he is pretty rude sometimes. As I visited more often and he recognized me it hasn't been bad. But there have been many times when nobody picks up or the phone is just disconnected from not paying the bill. The place was recently cleaned up. I won't say remodeled, just cleaned up. And on top of all that he closes early, around 8PM. All that being said, I love that pizza.

I've read some amazing reviews of pizza places in the Heights and I am excited to try them out sometime.

If you are looking for a space heater I have this one and it works great. Not too expensive either.

As I walked around the flooded areas of JC the day after Sandy I wondered how much all these guys were charging to pump water out peoples basements. I saw a few instances where water was going out of one basement apartment and rising the water level in a way that was essentially dumping it into the basement apartment next door.

Maybe you went on a Monday? They are closed then.

Speaking of which, why are so many places in this area closed on Monday? I have no idea

Ordered delivery today and spoke to the delivery guy about this. He said they have recently taken it off of the market and that they were looking for a larger place to move in to.

If anyone has not tried them yet, the food is great. I've only eat from them for the past three weeks but I've ordered 3 times using seamless.

I recommend the kimchi cheese fries, cheesesteak sandwich, tacos and the wings. I think everything would be a bit crisper if you ordered it in the restaurant, but it still takes great. Delivery usually takes about 20~25 minutes from when I place the order.

People putting boots on other's cars?

I was walking down Erie in front of Michael's Pizza and I noticed a guy putting a small red boot on a car. I thought it was kind of weird because he wasn't wearing any kind of uniform.

Then I thought, maybe someone parked in front of his garage preventing him from getting out so he booted them until a tow company or the parking cart comes around.

Does this happen often?

Love this place. The sandwiches and pizza are great. Everything there is homemade.

They don't deliver but you can call your order in ahead. My wife likes to sit there though because Brenda is such a personality and fun to talk to.

They are closed on Mondays and have weird hours otherwise. 4pm-10pm I think. I wish she was open for Lunch.

All the Grilled Entr?es are supposed to be good.
The Chicken A La Vodka is amazing
I got a burger the other day and it was very bad. The fries were great though.
The vegetarian food is supposed to be good as well.
