Eventually we buy so much stuff we run out of places to put it, so we "need to upgrade." You try carpooling kids in car seats in your 2 door mustang

Yes. There are candidates that run against the democratic machine here in Hudson County. By no means do they have any power or influence. Hudson is true blue and we suffer the consequences of it.

Jersey, especialy Dems and the GOP in bed with them, are so corrupt. The open secret is that Hudson County is probably one of the cleaner Counties. Middlesex County is so corrupt.

She sounds ridiculous, though, when she invokes anger at Kavanaugh and Tump.

You lost any credibility when you mentioned GOP. Where? You have to turn off the MSNBC. GOP in Hudson county! That's a good one!

Of course it makes sense a person like Yvonne, who never saw a form of discrimination she didn't like, wouldn't understand the fact that this is selectively enforced and intended to keep out people of color at the bouncer's discretion.

Not really. More to the point is people like you trying to make it about race. The bar simply feels that people who dress a certian way act a certian way and they dont want that aggravation

Random shooting which occurs every day in the USA and somehow "Trump" comes into the conversation. Well done.

I'll take it by your response that you believe each has many priors and should not be out on the street.

No, nothing having to do with your thoughts or my opinions on the criminal justice system. Just the fact that anyone in this country could actually believe a President, let alone the current one, could effectively change anything to do with their current life/local neighborhood.

The point is while the liberal Democrats rant and rave about Trump, the Wall, (fill-in the blank with why you hate Trump), etc., the REAL problems like this are not being solved by the Democrats - but hey, let's all brag how we have the strictest gun laws in the US - tell me how that's working.

Jersey might have strict guns laws, but this country as a whole has the weakest gun laws of any first world country. I'll let you in on a little secret... we don't have import export regulations between states. Guns cross state lines like water going down a stream from one property to another. No local regulations will ever end gun violence in this country.

Until this country gets Federally mandated gun control, in place for years, we won't see a reduction in gun violence. My guess, unfortunately, that will never happen due to the obstinance of conservatives.

Are you crazy? How would gun laws prevented this? How often do you hear about legal guns being used in shootings here in JC? I'm pretty sure it's already against the law to bring a gun into the Newport Mall. As for interstate gun transport. Check with that guy from PA who was driving through NJ to NY and got stopped at the holland tunnel. I'll bet he might have something to say about how strict NJ is

This is SUCH an old trope used by people trying to make a point by conflating two separate facts to make it look like a valid argument or explanation. But, it is simply NOT TRUE.

Just because someone is not paying a tax to the city directly, it does not mean they are not paying it indirectly. Renters may not pay property and school taxes directly, but they do so indirectly. Also, the claim that immigrants only live in abated buildings is just simply not true. It doesn't even pass the common sense or smell test. In fact, I would argue that the very opposite is true: most illegal immigrants live in old buildings (many of them in illegal boarding houses) and not in abated buildings. Or, do you truly, really believe all illegal immigrants are living in luxury DTJC buildings paying exorbitant rents???

Illegal apartments and overcrowding are factors and burden our public schools.

We now have a govonor who doesnt know which way the wind blows a senator so stupid he granstanded only after waiting for the documents for his sparticus moment to be declassified. Another who is so corrupt his own party nvestigated him and has done nothing for NJ. I like that Christie tried to keep taxes in check and had to reign in spending to do so. As with Trump people ignore his policy and just focus on rhetoric. Results should be paramount!

Yeah god forbid we get anyone elected who would want to ease our tax burden
I'm not rich, so I doubt Republicans would do much for my tax burden. I fully expect my generation to be footing our nation's $20-$30 trillion debts in the future thanks to Republican financial mismanagement. I'd rather pay for universal healthcare and welfare and education and infrastructure than pay for wars and subsidies to rich people and massive corporations.

You can argue that it might add to the national deficit but Trump has already put more money back in your pocket. As far as spending you need to do some research. Obama more than doubled the national debt during his eight yrs. Trump has added to it but the yearly deficit has been projected to decline over the next few years. Whether you agree with it or not keep in mind this will be accomplished with a massive corporate tax cut. My point however was directed at the local level. If you can not see a difference between the spend thrift dems of this state and their Republican counterparts im not sure there's much else to say.

I have looked into this before. If all u are looking for is supplemental heat than electric will do. They only produce about 5000 btu. One issue is the amount of power it draws. If you have it plugged into a 15 amp breaker you will not be able to run much else. If you are lucky to have 20 amp service than you are fine. We live in a 2 floor duplex with one zone heat. I use ours to offset the heat loss which escapes upstairs. During the coldest of weather i can raise the temp in a 20?20 room about 5 plus degrees. This was a better option for me than gas since a gas set up would be about 5k with permits ect.

My eyes hurt reading this. You start off by saying the US is getting a raw deal ("losing ground to 'foriegn' countries in trade"), which points to the fact that we sell less than we buy in our trade with these countries (seemingly a bad thing, to you). You finish by saying that because we buy the most we are the most important.

So... once the trade imbalances are 'solved" you will then advocate for a diminished american voice on world trade?

No complaints then. If you unaware of the rule the customer is always right. I suggest you read a book on business.
