Re: Ferris High School students are trashing Downtown JC

This has nothing to do with race or MLK. Race card is the go to excuse every time. Apparantly, the Jersey City school system is not teaching what Mr King stood for.

Now why don't you make yourself useful since you apparently are taking the day off. Come downtown and clean up all the trash and graffiti that YOUR kid is responsible for!

Ferris High School students are trashing Downtown JC

Everyday at lunch, they block the streets, throw trash, graffiti tag anything and everything, throw ice balls at the retail on Newark Ave, throw glass bottles in the air, fight with bats, curse, smoke weed and try to intimidate anyone they can by traveling in their little packs. WTF!!!!!! 1 cop car everyday at lunch traveling Newark and Chris Columbus is not asking too much, is it?

They seem to get away with anything and everything but if i crack one of them over the head with a bat, i'm the bad guy, right?

Administration at Ferris.

Mr. Morales does not respond to emails or phone calls and probably thinks everything is just peachy in his JAIL, I mean school!

Jaime Morales, Principal SUCKS, SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY!

Frank Skowronski, Vice Principal
Gary Gentile, Vice Principal
Myrta Melendez-Escotto, Vice Principal
Gloria Walker, Vice Principal

The immediate solution is to KEEP THE ANIMALS ON SCHOOL GROUNDS!!!! When I went to high school we were not able to leave the property for lunch. We stayed at school and ate lunch in the lunch room. Why is it different here?

Obviously there are good kids in the schools but stand on Newark Ave/christopher Columbus Ave at lunch time and see for yourself what is going on. And IF I HAD A KIDS, I WOULD HOME SCHOOL THEM BEFORE I WOULD LET THEM GO TO SCHOOL WITH THOSE ANIMALS!

You really can't blame people for sending their children to private schools as opposed to walking through metal detecters every day and learning absolutely nothing!

On another note, about 10 kids from Ferris were beating each other with baseball bats on the corner of Newark and Monmouth yesterday and the day before about 20 of the little animals were throwing ice balls at the businesses and spray painting graffiti along Newark Ave! Where are the parents of these little punks? Where are the administrators?

THEY NEED TO KEEP THE LITTLE SHITS ON CAMPUS AND NOT LET 1000 KIDS WALK THE STREETS EVERYDAY FOR LUNCH! THEY WALK DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AND GOD FORBID YOU TELL THEM TO MOVE, THEY WILL THROW ANYTHING THEY CAN FIND AT YOUR CAR!

BUILD MORE PRIONS BECAUSE OUR FUTURE CRIMINALS ARE ATTENDING DICKINSON, FERRIS AND SNYDER!

GREAT PARENTING PEOPLE!!!!!!

Why no mention of Corzine and McGreevy! You had my interest for about a second but to blame Christe is absurd! You are a typical union hack and the people are on to all of the union criminals! Christie tells it like it is and he is about to rip all of the unions a new A Hole! The unions have been ripping the people off for way too long now and it has to stop!

Perfect example is the ridiculous pensions of our cops, firemen and state employees.

Construction unions are plagued with organized crime. Look at the new Billion dollar meadowlands stadium. It's not half as nice the new Texas stadium which has a dome and was built for 500 million less! Why you ask? no unions!

Try getting a job at the Newark Seaport. This is a textbook example of borderline retarded humans making 150K annually for working 50 hours a week and getting paid for 80!

Unions have had their time but their time is now over!

The best place for a Whole Foods would be in the Lackawanna Building. Carlos bakery just took 30,000sf and they are in the process of converting the ground level into retail. It would have the sf necessary for a large Whole Foods and there would be plenty of parking.

Flood is a disgusting excuse for a human being and the uneducated morons in her district will never realize who they are voting for! The apple does not fall far from the tree. Her son will end up in jail for life while we the tax payers will pay for his food and a roof over his head for next 40 years!

Where on Wayne Street do they live? Perhaps we should congregate in front of their house. I think a good old fashion stoning is in order for the Flood family!

That your problem, you are always "just sayin". Those crappy stores pay low rents. The rents on Newark Ave are now 30 per sqft starting aroung Coles and going up to 50 sqft as you get closer to the Path.

Anyway, time will tell...

Re: Value Plus on Newark Ave btw Erie and Grove

Newark Ave is by far the best area for development and retail. It has the potential to be the greatest concentration of retail and restaurants in Downtown JC! Skinners, LITM, Saigon Cafe, and now Bon Chon are all proof that good food brings success. Also, there is a new Thai sandwich shop coming to Newark Ave on the corner of Monmouth. There is a huge doggie day care called K9dergarten taking over an entire building on Newark between Jersey and Barrow. Barcade is finally being built out on the corner of Barrow and Newark, Porto is now open for dinner!

327 Flats are almost sold out, 12 of 14 units
Saffron is 50% sold, 39 of 76 units

The fact that real estate is being sold and new businesses are moving in during this economy only means that this area of JC will thrive in the coming years!

The landlords are not dumb, they are clearing out the crappy 99 cent stores and raising rents. They don't care if their retail sits vacant for a year or two, it's a write off for them and they probably own those building outright. They are smarter than you think!

You might not like change but many I like what I am seeing!
