He had the speech on race because of the brouhaha over Rev. Wright's 9/11 speech based on Ambassdor Peck's statements. Prior to that, he was a quasi Will Smith raceless character as he didn't want to make his race a crucial aspect to his candidacy (knowing the issue would eventually surface) whereas you are hellbent on positing that he somehow hates white people and inserting race as the issue. JAC is right, you and your party are morally bankrupt.

Yet he sat in Rev Wright's pews for what, twenty years? His friend, his counsel.

Why shouldn't people bring it up.

So now it is all about scaring white people?

Again, that is because YOU CANT DEFEND THE PAST 8 YEARS!

I can argue that every non-white voter, and even every white voter who earns less that $5 million/year should be VERY scared of John McCain.

This nation is in its deepest ditch since the Great Depression, and you're crying "FEAR OF A BLACK PLANET"

The last refuge of the intellectually DEFEATED.

No.

What I've said is neither one of them is any damn good.

Unfortunately, this election will be about voting for who I believe is the lesser of two evils, not the best man.

I'm not going to run around talking like Obama or McCain are the answer to our problems.

They both are awful in their own way.

That's the difference between us I suppose, I'm not going to sugar coat either of them.

We're screwed either way.

A nation of 350 million (?) and these were the best two candidates either party could come up with.

What a shame.

Why should whites trust him??? So because Michelle appears in a picture with the wife of the leader of NOI that makes her husband, by extension, hate whitey? What a baseless preposterous argument. If you're that dimwitted to actually believe this, it's only because you possibly feel that you or white people are deserving of such hate or retribution.

Yes, yes, you're right, silly me for questioning things.

Now, what was that story about Freddy's Fashion Mart again?

Funny, you call others racist but you can't back up your own words.

Obama brought race in to the discussion, he even had a whole speech about it.

Remember that?

The double standard doesn't work anymore.

So tell us, why should whites trust him based on his past acquaintances?

Can you say..."RACIST"?

You guys are TOO predictable.

Your double talk and double standards are the predictable things.

Tell us why whites should trust him based on his past acquaintances?

Tell us why it's only the whites that are racist yet past history with Rev Wright, Farrakhan and Ayers should go without a question.

I see the racism here and it isn't from me.

I drove by it last night.

I believe they're doing it because that strip on Washington has become a popular drag spot.
